Motherhood is a tough gig; especially the first time around. In this short, filmmaker Madison Thomas honours the excitement, fear, and hope that a young mother feels when she first discovers that she is carrying another life - a life that will undoubtedly change her own forever.

Madison Thomas is a Métis filmmaker from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her first film "Worlds on Fire" was selected for the 2009 Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival and was nominated for "Best Youth Talent." Madison has studied filmmaking at the University of Winnipeg receiving her Bachelor of Arts in 2012. Madison has partnered with Canadian Cinematographer Andrew Luczenczyn and together they work under the company "Prairie Kid Productions" . Their newest shorts "The Middles", "Music of the Spheres" and "Seven Drinks" have all enjoyed festival success internationally.
