REDx TALKS is a non-profit speaker series that expresses and embodies Indigenous world views from elders, teachers, youth and allies. Nia:wen to Curator Cowboy Smith for working with us to promote these voices. 

Esther Tailfeathers is a family physician who was born and raised on the Blood Reserve in Southern Alberta. She is Kainai from the Blackfoot Confederacy. Esther is currently the Senior Medical Officer for the Alberta Indigenous Health Strategic Care Network, and continues to work in Alberta's Stand Off community clinic as well as the ER in Cardston. Dr. Tailfeathers has worked in many Indigenous communities across the country, and is celebrated for the cultural empathy that she brings to her practice. She is very proud of her two children; Elle-Maija and Piinaakoyim.
